Just a wee bit about me- I live in Washington State. I have been "in dogs" for my entire life. As an adult I have been involved in many venues- agility, carting, conformation, herding, tracking, obedience...you name it I got involved and trained for it. I also took my dogs backpacking with me all the time, and when I was building homes (before kids) I took them to work with me.
For many years I was a member of Washington State Obedience Training club, volunteered as an instructor for their classes, had my own classes, and did in-home training with my clients, I even did dog sitting. I have learned how to evaluate structure and temperament and have performed this task for many litters of various breeds. I have also been present many times with Pat Hastings while evaluating litters.
For many years I was an avid particpant at Terry Ryans camps, in the beginning when she was first doing them with chicken training, etc........boy does that age me, lol!!!
As you can see, dogs are my passion! They are my family companions first and foremost. I have always had a passion for dogs and have learned so much, taking classes myself, reading, going to dog training camps and seminars, and doing a lot of hands on.
I had a few litters of Leonberger’s, and three litters of English Shepherd’s. I raise my pups very carefully; they are born in the home with me present. I do the early neurological stimulation with them; expose them to as much as I can. I am very passionate about my dogs/pups and placing them properly. It is very important to get the right pup into the right home, so I do require a thorough questionnaire and to be in touch with potential owners via phone and email, and in person if we can do that.
English Shepherds are an amazing breed, unique to themselves. They are the old farm collies that were relied upon to do any and all tasks, be it holding back an angry bull or watching over the children and keeping them off the road. They can watch over and nurture the smallest of babies and drive off an unwanted threat. They are an amazing breed that is extremely versatile; they can do any job asked of them. They thrive working for and with their human partners and do not thrive being away from their humans. They may not be the breed for everyone, but they are for me. If I were a dog I would be an English Shepherd, no doubt.
I am available via email, Monday- Sunday and available by phone on weekends and holidays: (509) 930-0953.
